Our Mission

Lankston Consulting delivers spatial analysis at any scale using custom and existing software tools. We have over a decade of experience working in various geographic information systems. We focus on scaling new technologies to sift through the massive amount of data now available to answer questions at large scales.

Using best practices in software development and big data processing, Lankston Consulting can provide answers to your spatially and temporally driven questions.

ROBB LANKSTON, OWNER
Robb moved to Missoula, MT in 2005 to begin studies at the University of Montana in Recreation Management.  After getting a job with the US Forest Service that same year working with computers and simulations, he quickly developed a passion for the technological side of research.

Robb left school to work full time as a programmer for the government, but returned to school after a few years and in 2016 attained a B.S. in Computer Sciences - Mathematical Sciences.  

Currently Robb focuses on projects that leverage technology in innovative ways to answer natural resource management questions.  Robb has more than 10 years of experience working with the Forest Service as an employee, a contractor, and a cooperator.  Check out some of Lankston Consulting's work on the Projects page.
